Etude House Online Store Haul + Pink Pass Membership

Hi guys! 🙂 A few days ago, I decided to buy a few products from the Korean official Etude House online store. I’ve bought many things from offline stores but it was my first ever time ordering online. To be honest, I am a bit impatient when it gets to waiting for package and that’s really the main reason I usually buy items at the retail stores. Also, Etude House store is like right next to my company so I didn’t really bother. 🙂 But there are certain events that are only for online and I wanted to take advantage of that. So I ordered on a Sunday and got it 3 days after on Wednesday which is pretty fast! In addition, I decided to register for the Pink Pass membership at Etude House! You just pay 10,000 won ($10) and for 6 months, you get to use a ton of coupons such as 1+1, 30% off, $5 off, birthday coupon, etc. Also, they give you a free kit worth $15~20.

The goodies came in a cardboard box with Etude House logo on it. I loved how neatly the labeling and box were. Also, I picked up a kit from the Etude House store.

IMG_5656

I love, love, love neat packaging! Everything was wrapped tightly and securely. Since I bought this stuff during the sale period, I didn’t get any free samples. But it’s okay! The Thank You note had a coupon code on it and if you get lucky, you can win a full size product! But most of the time, you get pearls (which are for the Korean Etude House Website). You can use the pearls to buy products and enter events. 🙂

I spent a lot of time trying to buy what I really wanted and needed. Here are the products I ordered. 🙂 The Face Conditioning Fixer I bought with beauty points from the Etude House retail store.

Here are the choice of kits you can get when you become a Pink Pass member. I really wanted the Face Blur kit. But the Face Blur product seemed really small and I didn’t know if it would fit my skin. I’ll probably ask for a sample of that so I can test it out before buying.

Here’s what is inside the kit! From left to right: Etude House passport (lol), Wonder Pore Toner (mini size), Real Art No-Wash Cleansing Water and round cotton pads.

The idea of the passport to me is very creative and cute! Some people said that the passport idea is kind of childish and suites the younger teens. But since I love cute, cuddly, kawaii things, I thought it was cute. ^^

Flight is from Etude House to Princess Fantasy in your life. I would love to go to fantasy wonderland ♥ haha

Inside the passport, it’s full of coupons. This one is a 30% off your purchase coupon.

IMG_5653

Buy an air puff and get one free coupon.

IMG_5651

And in the back, there’s a little memo section where you can write notes..?

IMG_5652

I think this part of the passport will be good for keeping record of which coupons you used, your wishlist, etc.

And lastly, the Etude House employee gave me a comb for becoming a Pink Pass Member. So happy! ♥ I used to have this comb back when I was in middle/high school. Seeing it again made me kind of nostalgic. Do you guys have any items or things that cause nostalgia? Thank you for reading!

Mini Haul + Innisfree Skin Moisture Level Test

Hi guys! 🙂 I decided to buy some products from Skinfood and Innisfree since they started a few good sales this week. Skinfood had a huge cleansing discount for all of their cleansing products. Some products were even discounted to 50%! Innisfree had a 1+1 sale, which included 1+1 No Sebum Powder, 1+1 mists, etc. Also, Innisfree started an event called “Guess your skin’s moisture level.” I’m not the kind of person who is into events like this. But I thought this one was worth doing. After you submit your guess of how much moisture your skin has online, you go to the Innisfree store and they do a quick test on your skin with a moisture measuring instrument. If you guess your moisture level correctly, you get a Green Tea Balancing Special kit and 3 It’s Real Mask Sheets. If you get it wrong, you just get the kit. Either way, I thought it was a clever marketing method to get people involved and educating them about their skin moisture level. After all, it’s what Korean girls rave about! Moisture is one of the most important things in Korean beauty. Skin full of moisture is considered beautiful and healthy. Most people don’t usually go to the dermatologist to get an actual moisture test done so the whole idea of this event was really interesting. Not only is it beneficial for them (because they are getting survey results from us) but it’s good for us too since we get a free trial kit! And who doesn’t love free stuff? 🙂 I love how Korea has big sales at least 2 times a month. Whether it’s a huge “up to 50% off all products” sale or a “1+1 sale, ” people get hooked. In Korea, we call brands such as Skinfood, Innisfree, TonyMoly, Etude House, etc. as “road shops.” It basically means (in Korea) “affordable makeup brands.”

Items I bought

Skinfood Honey Black Tea Cleansing Foam – Original Price 7,700 won / Sale Price 6,160 won

Skinfood Black Sugar Cleansing Water – Original Price 8,700 won / Sale Price 4,780 won

Skinfood Peach Sake Toner – 9,000 won

Innisfree No Sebum Powder (1+1) – 6,000 won

Missha Honey Butter Sheet Mask – 2,000 won

I can’t freaking wait to try these out! ❤

For me, the scent of a product is important. I don’t like products that smell like chemicals. I absolutely love the scent of the Honey Black Tea series. I was really tempted to buy the Good Afternoon Honey Black Tea BB Cream but I didn’t. I might buy it tomorrow…hehe.

IMG_4154_Fotor

I’ve tried the Black Sugar Mask and Black Sugar Scrub Foam. Both were really good for getting rid of dead skin cells and exfoliating. I wanted to get the cleansing oil but since I have eyelash extensions, I didn’t want to risk ruining them. So I chose this water based cleanser instead. I’m really looking forward to trying this out too.

I finally got my hands around a Peach Sake product! This was the only Peach Sake skin product available in the store. I wanted to buy the serum and emulsion of this too. However according to the owner of a Skinfood store in my town, Peach Sake skincare products have been out of stock in all Korean stores for a while now. So, if you are living abroad and are wondering why these products are never in stock in your favorite Korean beauty website, now you know! The manufacturers have either stopped making it or they are out of ingredients. I have a feeling this line will eventually be discontinued. 😦 I really hope it doesn’t. It’s been around for such a long time and it’s been loved by so many people!

IMG_4157_Fotor

I got two of these for the price of one! This sale is only on for a limited time only. I also overheard Innisfree staff saying that it is limited to 2 purchases per person. I’ve done a review on the pact version and use it everyday. I’m curious to see if this product can out stand the pact version. 🙂

IMG_4147_Fotor

I wasn’t really planning on buying this. It was rather an driven purchase. I decided to take a quick tour inside Missha and this product caught my eye. It has 5 sheets inside and only costs $2! Currently, “honey butter” is the most popular thing in Korea right now. It all started off with the Honey Butter Chips from the brand “Calbee” (갈비 which means “ribs” in Korean) late last year.

1422517011-89

These chips all of a sudden became famous and now it’s considered a rare product. It’s not even available in the supermarket or convenience store. You have to buy online and they are expensive. From food to makeup products, everything is honey butter. I thought this was product was very interesting and I was really curious to see what it smells like too.

IMG_4159_Fotor

This is the kit I received from doing the moisture index test. I guessed that I moisture level would be 30% but that was way off my actual results. My skin moisture level was something like 10%, which was considered as lack of moisture. Maybe it was because I spent 9 hours at my super dry office…:) The staff recommended me to get the super moisture kit but I knew it would be too much for my skin since I get really oily around my t-zone. So I ended up getting this one instead. (I accidentally ripped the packaging a bit. Got a bit too excited :p).

IMG_4158_Fotor

Here’s whats inside. It’s basically a miniature version of all of the main products from the Green Tea line, except for the eye cream. I’m excited to test this out. If I find it goes well for my skin, i’m definitely buying this line…! Well…After I finish using up my current skincare products of course. 🙂

IMG_4146_Fotor

These are samples I got with my purchase from Innisfree and Skinfood. Usually, road shops don’t give out samples during sales. I got the Skinfood ones because the Peach Sake Toner wasn’t on sale. The Innisfree samples, they just gave to me for free! I love you Innisfree. ❤

IMG_4164_Fotor

Inside the Innisfree sample packet from left to top left. I absolutely love the smell of the apple juicy line!

That’s the end of my mini haul and visit to Innisfree to get a moisture level test done. It was my first ever time getting a skin test done like that. Now that I know what my moisture level is on a daily basis, i’m gonna focus more on keeping my skin hydrated and moist! Stay tuned for more reviews on skincare products. 🙂

Huge Korean makeup/skincare Haul

Hi guys 🙂 So you’re probably wondering why Miso Beauty has been absent for the last two months. I’ve been working hard! Working 9 hours a day, producing music, helping out around my house AND blogging is pretty tough. But to think back, I realised how I sucked at managing my time. So now that I am back, I am now determined to update this blog as much as I can so please don’t leave me! *sobs*

For the past two months, I have totally spun out of control when buying beauty products. Now that I work at a beauty company, my interest in beauty has now become one of my greatest passions! I can never just “pass by” a makeup store without having a slight peek inside…You know, seeing if there’s any more new stuff in stock 🙂 it’s become a new habit of mine.

Disclaimer – I only buy beauty products when they are on sale. In Korea, beauty stores have sales every month. 97% of the products in this photo have been bought during a huge sale! I mean like 30-50% off sales! Except for the Skin Food Black Sugar Scrub Foam, Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel Toner and Etude House Moistfull Collagen Firming Eye Cream.

Here’s a photo of all the products I got:

Holy cow, that’s A LOT!

Miso Beauty’s Top 3 Most Favourite Products

1. Skin Food – Black Sugar Scrub Foam

This facial scrub is probably the best one i’ve used so far. I love the grainy texture. You can actually feel that dead skin cells are being rubbed off by it. I love how it gradually turns into a foam. I love how it leaves my skin feeling like baby skin.

2. Etude House – Look At My Eyes Eyeshadow in BR401 Deep Berry Soda

The colour of this eyeshadow is GORGEOUS! I love how deep and bloody it looks. It is very pigmented and long lasting.

3. Etude House – Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit

I love how this BB cream moisturises yet covers up blemishes while evening out my skin tone. Although i’d say the smell is horrible.

Miso Beauty’s Top 3 Most Used

1. Etude House – Drawing Eye Brow

This product is probably one of the cheapest out of my haul. Once I fill in my eyebrows, it stays there! It doesn’t smudge and it is really long lasting. I used this for 12+ hours and my brows still looked flawless.

2. Thayers – Cucumber Witch Hazel Toner

Most toners that i’ve used in the past always had that alcohol scent to it. Some of them were too harsh on my skin. But this baby is just what I needed! It is a non-alcoholic toner with a cucumber scent to it. If you don’t like the smell of cucumbers, i’d advise you not to buy this one (there are other scents too). I love how this toner keeps my skin moisturised and hydrated after washing my face! I’d recommend it to people who have sensitive skin.

3. Etude House – AC Clinic Intense Red Spot Balm

I also use this product nearly everyday. Etude House recommended to use it after my skincare routine. It helps soothe and heal pimple marks. I think i’ve seen an improvement on the areas of my face over ruled by pimples.

If you would like to see reviews on any of these products, comment down below! I thought it would be better to do separate, detailed reviews on each product rather than showing them all to you at once. If you enjoyed this post, give it a like 🙂

Good night xoxo
