Aritaum – Water Sliding Tint Review

Hi guys! There was a 1+1 Water Sliding Tint event at Aritaum so of course I had to make a trip to the Aritaum store. I’ve now officially started shopping makeup online. However when it comes to lip products, I really don’t have the guts to make my decision by just seeing the colours in the description picture. It’s because 90% of the colours on photo are different in person. It’s the cold truth and it’s another factor you have to keep in mind before purchasing, especially if you’re buying something that’s Korean. An example of a brand that has different colours on photo + in person is Etude House. I’m going to purchase a lipstick from Etude House soon so i’ll take photos and show you how different it is haha. And in this review, you’ll understand what i’m talking about. There were so many colours to choose from it was really overwhelming! Anyone who is extra careful when buying something like me will understand when you go to the store to buy 2 lipsticks but swatch so many colours that your hand and inner arm end up stained to a pinkish orange colour! So here’s the event photo: 1cd47cf0-e130-4183-926c-e63653640b5f-1 Description Name of product: Water Sliding Tint Brand: Aritaum Manufacturer: Amore Pacific Price: 9,000 won each Capacity: 2.4g

Here’s a bit of what this product claims to be. (I translated from Korean to English)

1. Liquid in a stick – Slides and glides like water 2. High saturated colour – long lasting 3. Contains argan & fruit seed oil extract – keeps lips moist 4. No signs of “yoghurt” – so this means it’s non-sticky and keeps lips moist for a long time

I don’t know why they made it like that. I actually took about 5 minutes thinking about it and I came to the conclusion that this tint has some kind of layer at the bottom where all the moisture or liquid is and once you twist, it wets the lipstick or something. I don’t know…I’m weird. haha But when you twist it, it makes a sound. c-1 d-1 Here are the colours! Don’t they look so pretty and watery? The consistency is like melted lipstick but much watery…It’s hard to describe. (The colour of No.03 Sweet Heart is a bit off here. It’s more of a warm tone pink in real life).  Lip Application There are 2 ways to apply “tints.” You can do a gradation look by dabbing the lip tint only in the centre part of your lips. Also, you can enhance the gradation by applying a concealer first and then applying on the centre of your lips. And the other way is to just smother it onto your lips of course. 😀 I chose to apply the popular way. 1-1 This is one application of the No.03 Sweet Heart. Now first off, the pigmentation is absolutely amazing. One thing for sure, this product is not sticky AT ALL! It feels so smooth and wet in a good way. I love how it felt on my lips. pink12 I don’t know if you can see a difference in the photos above but 2 applications really did make a difference. Not only did it enhance the colour but also made my lips super watery! coral1-1 Now this is one application of the No.09 Coral Fantasy. I love this colour because it looks natural yet not too orangey. coral12 As you can see above, 2 coats of this beauty made my lips feel really moist and hydrated. g-1 After 10 minutes of applying 2 coats of the lip tints, I transferred a kiss with some tissue and here’s how much it transferred. It is definitely not long lasting as a lot of it transferred onto the tissue. I believe this is because of the super watery consistency. However after about 10 minutes of application, it stains on your lips. This product definitely needs to be applied several times throughout the day just like a regular lip balm in order to keep that pigmentation.

Wrist Swatches

Now if you read the introduction paragraph of this review post, you can now see how different the colours look in the official Aritaum photo and in this photo. Coral Fantasy looks different. It’s way more pigmented than in that photo. But they still look pretty, which is most important, right? 🙂 f-1

I also did an additional swatch of some other tints just to give you a better picture of the consistency, pigmentation and overall colour. The most matte tint is the Etude House Sugar Tint and it’s the most pigmented out of them too (if you have dry lips, I do not recommend) and most sheer is Nivea Fruity Shine. Dior Addict Lip Glow both has pigmentation and moisture. BUT, it’s sticky. I don’t really mind if it’s sticky or not but it can get a bit annoying on a windy day and every strand of hair is desperate to stick to your lips. The Aritaum tints are sheer, non-sticky yet have high pigmentation but it’s not long-lasting. Let’s see if what Aritaum claimed it to be is true

1. Liquid in a stick – Slides and glides like water -> Yes, it definitely glides like water.

2. High saturated colour – long lasting -> Yes, it’s highly saturated and pigmented but it is not long lasting.

3. Contains argan & fruit seed oil extract – keeps lips moist -> Yes

4. No signs of “yoghurt” – so this means it’s non-sticky and keeps lips moist for a long time -> Yes

3 out of the 4 claims is true!

Pros – Very moisturising – No signs of dried lip skins – Highly pigmented – Considering the quality of the product, it’s a reasonable price

Cons – Not long lasting – The lip tint itself is very fragile and can chip – Can melt if left exposed in sunlight

Overall score – 8/10 I’m really satisfied with this purchase as the colour and consistency of the product is really smooth and beautiful. I like how my lips feel really smooth and not sticky at all. I am really considering buying two more of these! I hope you enjoyed this review. If you were to buy this product, which colour(s) would you wanna try out? 🙂

Huge Korean makeup/skincare Haul

Hi guys 🙂 So you’re probably wondering why Miso Beauty has been absent for the last two months. I’ve been working hard! Working 9 hours a day, producing music, helping out around my house AND blogging is pretty tough. But to think back, I realised how I sucked at managing my time. So now that I am back, I am now determined to update this blog as much as I can so please don’t leave me! *sobs*

For the past two months, I have totally spun out of control when buying beauty products. Now that I work at a beauty company, my interest in beauty has now become one of my greatest passions! I can never just “pass by” a makeup store without having a slight peek inside…You know, seeing if there’s any more new stuff in stock 🙂 it’s become a new habit of mine.

Disclaimer – I only buy beauty products when they are on sale. In Korea, beauty stores have sales every month. 97% of the products in this photo have been bought during a huge sale! I mean like 30-50% off sales! Except for the Skin Food Black Sugar Scrub Foam, Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel Toner and Etude House Moistfull Collagen Firming Eye Cream.

Here’s a photo of all the products I got:

Miso Beauty’s Top 3 Most Favourite Products

1. Skin Food – Black Sugar Scrub Foam

This facial scrub is probably the best one i’ve used so far. I love the grainy texture. You can actually feel that dead skin cells are being rubbed off by it. I love how it gradually turns into a foam. I love how it leaves my skin feeling like baby skin.

2. Etude House – Look At My Eyes Eyeshadow in BR401 Deep Berry Soda

The colour of this eyeshadow is GORGEOUS! I love how deep and bloody it looks. It is very pigmented and long lasting.

3. Etude House – Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit

I love how this BB cream moisturises yet covers up blemishes while evening out my skin tone. Although i’d say the smell is horrible.

Miso Beauty’s Top 3 Most Used

1. Etude House – Drawing Eye Brow

This product is probably one of the cheapest out of my haul. Once I fill in my eyebrows, it stays there! It doesn’t smudge and it is really long lasting. I used this for 12+ hours and my brows still looked flawless.

2. Thayers – Cucumber Witch Hazel Toner

Most toners that i’ve used in the past always had that alcohol scent to it. Some of them were too harsh on my skin. But this baby is just what I needed! It is a non-alcoholic toner with a cucumber scent to it. If you don’t like the smell of cucumbers, i’d advise you not to buy this one (there are other scents too). I love how this toner keeps my skin moisturised and hydrated after washing my face! I’d recommend it to people who have sensitive skin.

3. Etude House – AC Clinic Intense Red Spot Balm

I also use this product nearly everyday. Etude House recommended to use it after my skincare routine. It helps soothe and heal pimple marks. I think i’ve seen an improvement on the areas of my face over ruled by pimples.

If you would like to see reviews on any of these products, comment down below! I thought it would be better to do separate, detailed reviews on each product rather than showing them all to you at once. If you enjoyed this post, give it a like 🙂

Good night xoxo
